Meet The Chef

My name is Kaliope, but you can call me Kali (or Kelly).

I’ve been a chef for several years, starting as a line cook at the Richmond County Country Club. After attending the International Culinary Center in Manhattan, I began my city career at Upland with Chef Justin Smilie. From there, I worked at Soho House during its grand openings, Chumleys at 86 Bedford, and Jams under Chef Jonathan Waxman and Ginger Pierce .

I later moved to Philadelphia, where I worked at the American Express Members Only lounge in the Philadelphia airport for Chef Michael Solomonov. After returning to New York, I became the executive chef at Patrizia’s in Red Bank during its opening. I’m also proud of my time at On Your Mark, where I trained friends and coworkers to work in a professional kitchen.

Throughout my culinary journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with Chef Mike Cappucci, who has been an incredible mentor and friend. I’ve also partnered with Chef Lou on various off-site events for Chef’s Table, which has been a valuable part of my career.

My cooking style is New American, California-inspired, with a farm-to-table focus. I use only the best products and enjoy incorporating my Italian and Greek roots while blending in Korean and Japanese flavors. My hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8 PM, with select Saturdays and Sundays when I’m not catering or hosting special events in Staten Island and New Jersey. I frequently update my menu to keep things fresh and exciting for my customers, offering them something new to look forward to each time.
